WHAT IS THE SAC(K) ?

The Sac(k) is the community funded part of my website where I invite you to join me as I delve deeper into the curious, humorous, absurd, wild and beautiful world of food. In The Sac(k), members will find recipes, interviews, adventures, conversations, bakery visits, fabulous music mixes to cook and eat to, and any other such notion that crosses my mind. Members of The Sac(k) will also get first dibs on event tickets, occasional bakes, and discounted prices on any possible items in The Shack shop.

This is the account of a bread lady’s unconventional journey…….a journal….bread brought me here.

I am not here to teach you how to cook or bake.  I am here to inspire you to find freedom, creativity, curiosity, invention and authenticity in your own world of food, your community of food and family of food.  To encourage you to listen to people’s stories. To cook for people you love or people you are interested in loving. To let these connections fuel your passion for creation and collaboration.  Know your farmers, know the people who stock your market shelves, know the person making your coffee or your loaf of bread.  Grow for your family, cook for your friends, eat with strangers at a cafe table and laugh when you drop the spoon in your lap.  Search out people who make food you love and learn.  If you are curious to know something search out the people who know it first.  Make light and love of the simple task of feeding people.  Food is our most universal art and muse.
